New Hack the Army program announced

The U.S. Army has just announced their new “Hack the Army” program. They’ve teamed up with Hacker One and are considering this program an extension of their “Hack the Pentagon” program earlier this year. However, unlike Hack the Pentagon, Hack the Army- a bug bounty program- offers access to dynamic exchanges of identity information and sites which are considered critical to recruiting missions. This program is also revolutionary in that it invites the hacker community to work closely with a government entity, which has not been seen in-this-way in the past. Austin, Texas Army Secretary, Eric Fanning, announced the challenge conveying a desire for more sets of eyes on the Army’s possible security issues and explaining that they’re “looking for new ways of doing business”.

If you’re interested in registering for the program, registration is open now. You can apply at https://hackerone.com/hackthearmy. As Fanning himself said, “Take your best shot. Bring it on.”
