#CyberHeadlines: Santa gets Hacked
Father Frost Himself
In Russia, thousands of kids have already been submitting letters online to Father Frost (the Russian Santa Clause) via a multitude of websites. Last week, it was found that 55 of these websites had been compromised and were publishing the first and last names, ages, home addresses and telephone numbers of the children who had submitted their letters. Allegedly, some of the websites in question are registered outside of Russia as well in places such as Panama, Australia and US. VKontakte social network intends on persecuting the perpetrators in court and addressing any and all of these privacy and security violations. The motive of the culprits has yet to be seen or disclosed.
